Collection includes an account book for various vessels run by Norris. He was involved in freighting trade between the Deep South and Mass. This volume contains records for three ships: the GENERAL CLINCH, GRANITE STATE, and CENTRAL AMERICA. Entries provide a detailed record of ship expenses, income, freight records, port charges, extra expenses and general disbursements. Some early entries concern the NEPTUNE, a Cape Cod fishing vessel. There are also a few loose records.
